Renault Scenic E-Tech will be presented on September 4, at the same time as its competitor

Megane’s E-Tech sibling will be arriving in 2024, but fear not, you won’t have to wait that long to meet him. On September 4th, Renault will officially present its e-scenic technologies.

Renault is already warming hearts with the arrival of its latest electric vehicle, the Scenic E-Tech. The new electric car will be unveiled on September 4 this year at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany.

The debut will take place at the same time as that of its main competitor, the Peugeot e-3008, also scheduled for the beginning of the month. Interestingly, the Scenic E-Tech will arrive with a new aesthetic language, pioneered by Gilles Vidal, former head of design at Peugeot.

The 4.49-meter-long compact SUV will be based on the same modular platform as the Megane E-Tech and Nissan Arya, the CMF-EV. Moreover, it will arrive as Renault's second electric C-segment car, after the Megane.

The production electric Scenic E-Tech was already tested on public roads last month, but the images released by Renault better show what lies ahead. The manufacturer has already warned that during the summer the electrics will be routed by engineers to carry out tests, but always covered with a pattern that you will surely remember.

Renault Megane E-Tech Electric

Initially, it will have two batteries: a 60 kWh battery with a range of more than 400 km WLTP and an 87 kWh battery with a range close to 600 km WLTP. In terms of charging, it will peak at 22kW AC and 130kW DC.

It will be available in front- and all-wheel-drive versions, and may also arrive with the 4Control rear-wheel steering system - which Renault has been using in its medium and large models (such as Megane, Austral, Laguna, etc.), for the past 15 years.

As with the Megane E-TECH, the infotainment system will be based on the Android Automotive operating system.

For the new electric vehicle, Renault has taken inspiration from the decarbonization solutions of Scenic Vision: the production model of the Scenic E-Tech Electric will be the first production vehicle to integrate the manufacturer's new sustainable development strategy, in terms of environment, security and inclusion.

No details are given about the sustainability solutions attached, as well as a series of other elements that are certainly important to highlight.

Now, let's wait until September to find out everything!
