The Telegram messaging service reported that the state-owned YaM Sverdlov factory in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, was the target of the attack, and that four firefighters were slightly injured.

The factory is one of the largest explosives factories in the country used by the Russian army in the war in Ukraine. Its location will be 750 kilometers from the Ukrainian border inside Russia.

The Kyiv Independent refers to the explosives factory as “the largest in Russia” and that it produces, among other things, artillery ammunition, aerial bombs and warheads.

– The mission was carried out by the forces and resources of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, the Ukrainian Defense writes on a telegram.

They added that the results of the attack are under investigation.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 110 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight, including one over Moscow and another in the Kursk and Lipetsk region in the southwest.

According to the Russian authorities, they succeeded in stopping the attack on the factory.

– Hostilities continue on important military targets for the Russian invaders, concludes the Ukrainian Defense Forces in its message on the telegram.
