For some time now, there have been various rumors that lift the veil a bit about the upcoming Galaxy S23 series. But today, the specifications of the base model of the Samsung flagship have been fully revealed by leaker Yogesh Brar, on the social network Twitter.

Since the beginning of the rumors, it has become clear that both the base model and the Galaxy S23+ will come with a new design and that appears to be confirmed. The two terminals will abandon islands that accommodate the rear camera configuration and adopt a look similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s back panel.

But the 6.1-inch 120Hz display found in the Galaxy S22 will also be included in the Galaxy S23. It seems Samsung has no intention of messing with specs that have worked so far.

The same goes for the rear camera setup. The Galaxy S23, like its predecessor, will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor.

It was already expected that the South Korean giant would not make changes to the optics of the model, as the Galaxy S22 received this update. Of course, it is possible that Samsung will add features and software to make some improvements to these specifications.

Samsung Galaxy S23 arrives with a bigger battery

The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will be in the controls. And that’s good news, as the chip’s passage across benchmarking platforms indicates it’s much more powerful than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – and it’s also expected to be less hot.

As with the previous generation, a Qualcomm chip will be paired with 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage.

As with the previous model, it will have a 10-megapixel front camera. This means that Samsung is unlikely to upgrade the front sensor to 12MP, as previously advanced.

The last big news will be in the battery which will be larger with a capacity of 3900 mAh. We know it’s only an upgrade of 200 mA, compared to the previous model, but this small change will have a positive effect on the autonomy offered by the station.

For the rest, it will keep support for 25W fast charging, as well as 15W wireless charging.
