The Feyenoord striker admits that the Dutch club took notice of the midfielder’s departure
Santiago Jimenez has been the breadwinner for Feyenoord this season, with 20 goals in 21 matches, but at the Dutch club the departure of Orkun Kukcu to Benfica is still known. The person who recognizes him is the Mexican striker himself, who on Wednesday, speaking to the magazine “Voetbal Internacional”, assumed that the entire group felt the absence of the Turk in these first months of the season.
“Not only me, but the whole group misses Kukju. In addition to being the leader, he was also our best last year and a good guy in the locker room. I also miss him because we got along well, internally and internally.” Off the field. He also wanted to win at all costs, and was always the first to show his face in combat. That Turkish anger, which is somewhat similar to the Mexican mood. But when I say this I leave others out, like Quentin Temper, who is Dutch and has a strong mentality,” said the Mexican.
Remember, Kukcu cost Benfica £25m, but since his arrival he has yet to show the football expected of him, largely due to an injury that has kept him out for a few weeks.
