It has been many days since the first case of coronavirus was detected in humans. Scientists are continuing their investigations and new information has recently been published.

After some investigations, a new type of Coronavirus has appeared that has apparently appeared in dogs.

CCoV-HuPn-2018 is a designation for the novel coronavirus
So far, we only heard that dogs can help humans discover the new Corona virus. However, a recent study revealed that dogs may be the source of a new strain of the virus.
according to Reuters, This new type of coronavirus was discovered in patients who were hospitalized with pneumonia in 2017-2018.  And it was reported in the study that 301 nasal samples were used on patients from a hospital in Sarawak, eastern Malaysia.  Eight of the samples, most of them belonging to children under the age of five, tested positive for this now discovered new strain.

It is named after CCoV-HuPn-2018, this new strain shares characteristics of other corona viruses that infect cats and pigs.  In addition, this new strain also has the characteristics of the common SARS-COV and SARS-COV-2 virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic.
In their study, published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases on Thursday, the researchers warned of the threat to public health by animal coronavirus.
There are currently seven known coronaviruses that can cause illness in humans: four of them cause mild influenza and three cause more serious diseases such as SARS, MERS and the emerging coronavirus.
