General Sergei Surovikin, nicknamed “General Armageddon,” was until recently the head of the Russian Air Force.
Surovikin was removed as commander of the Russian Air Forces just hours before Wagner commander Yevgeny Prigozhin was killed in a plane crash on August 23.
