In February, the man’s 76-year-old son-in-law decided to take a teensy trip to visit. But when he arrived at the house where the man lived in the town of Radlin in southwestern Poland, he was greeted by a disturbing sight.
According to the Polish Internet newspaper Nowiny.pl He must have found his ex-brother-in-law wandering around outside. The 76-year-old looked like he wasn’t fully present, so the man called an ambulance.
Inside the house, a shocking discovery awaited him.
Commute by bike
On a sofa in the living room, facing the TV screen, a mummified corpse lay on top of a huge stack of newspapers. All newspapers date back to 2009.
Joanna Smorczewska from the Public Prosecutor’s Office was able to confirm the discovery of what turned out to be the man’s mother. She passed away in January 2010.

– It has been proven that the grave where she was buried is empty, says Smorczewska according to Nowiny.pl.
It is believed that the 76-year-old, who lives just under 300 meters from the cemetery, may have taken his mother’s body home on his bicycle.
– It is likely that the man dug up my mother’s body immediately after the funeral and then embalmed it, and that the body has been in this house since 2010.
