Sony launched PlayStation tournaments on PS5 to democratize the competitive landscape – the Internet

PlayStation tournaments are now available on PS5. The system arrives on Sony’s latest console with a Redesigned interface You take advantage of PS5 activity cards as well as notifications to help you find action, track scores, and provide alerts when it’s time to play.

This is the feature that Aiming to bring competition to the whole communityFrom the most committed gamers to the most casual gamers. The idea is to make it easier to find tournaments that fit your lifestyle and availability.

Tournaments can be registered via the console. So there is no need to resort to another device. To find competitions, simply install the game on the console and select it on the PS5 home screen. Tournaments will appear in the DLC below.

For each tournament, there will always be a ‘hub’ of contention where you can chat with your opponents and follow developments in the competitive landscape.

To play in these tournaments you will need to have a PlayStation Plus membership. First releases of FIFA 23, Guilty Gear Strive and NBA 2K23. At stake are various prizes such as cash, PlayStation hardware, games, experiences and points to be spent on the corresponding games.

To activate this version, Sony will run a marathon of the course. In this “Win-A-Thon” your posts and scores will be translated into points and calculated on a table. The initiative begins today and will run from December 1 to January 31, and will be available to players on PS4.
