Sorocaba Municipality, through the Department of Health (SES), recorded an increase in the number of people recovering from COVID-19 this Saturday (2), reaching a total of 82,383. Indeed, the number of confirmed cases of the disease increased from 85,272 to 85,291 in the city. The number of confirmed deaths has risen to 2,824. The municipality’s death rate is 3.3%, below the state’s rate of 3.4% and above the national average of 2.8%.

Sorocaba received a notification of 19 more confirmed cases of Covid-19, 25 recovered and one died, this happened on September 30, but it was reported by the hospital to epidemiological surveillance and it was counted today (October 2). Of the total confirmed number, 22 people have been hospitalized (18 in the intensive care unit) and the total number of people recovered (home isolation) is 62.
