Spider-Man 2 fans are angry at Insomniac Games

News about the end of Marvel's Spider-Man 2's DLC was not well received by the community. Players protested on social media against Insomniac's strategy and stated that it was a bad decision.

The biggest frustration among fans occurred due to the massive leak of Insomniac files. Although the studio has not officially announced anything, materials incorrectly shared on the web would have mentioned plans for the expansion's content.

However, this time it's final: there won't be any DLC for the game. Therefore, many people were disappointed to learn that several unfinished arcs from the main campaign and secondary quests would not continue.

Now that we know the DLC won't be happening, I can officially say that Spider-Man 2 is one of the most disappointing games in recent history.

It seems like Insomniac not releasing any DLC for Spider-Man 2 was a really bad decision.

This game feels more like a Miles Morales prequel than a sequel, and not receiving any DLC even though it's ready for additional content makes it feel even worse. Spider-Man had a lot of content added after launch through expansions and felt huge after that.

We know they were developing DLC for the game, so simply ignoring this is very disappointing.

I doubt this content has actually disappeared. They'll implement it into a Venom spin-off somehow, but that makes the game package much less than Marvel's Spider-Man. Bad decision.

The title is available exclusively for PS5. The PC version will be released in January 2025.
