Apparently, Spotify is trying to offer a new experience with videos and in a TikTok-like format.

Technology website TechCrunch has released information about a possible update that Spotify is testing, which seeks to provide users with information Experiment with videos As with TikTok. According to the publication, the platform is testing the new feature on iOS.

The view of the videos should be the same as that used by TikTok: vertical, with the ability to open on the screen. It should be the new job called “discover” You will be in the bar at the bottom of the screen. As with TikTok, the videos will likely be short with snippets of official music videos.

By swiping on the screen, you will be able to see the next video in the feed, which makes browsing videos more convenient. Each video will contain the name of the song at the bottom, as well as the artist and album cover. You will also have the option to like the video, as it already happens on the other platform.

The goal is to enhance participation in song search through the platform. Spotify hasn’t provided much information about the new functionality. We still don’t know if it is possible for a user to follow certain posts. So far, information is scarce, and eventually it has to be revealed in the coming days in more detail.
