Startup offers a cheap and fast rooftop solar panel installation solution

The Spanish startup Landatu Solar piece of ground A new and revolutionary plastic structure, intended to facilitate the installation of solar PV panels on rooftops and other flat surfaces.

The company, which specializes in the construction of floating buildings to capture the sun’s rays on large water surfaces, presented this solution in its country of origin, more specifically in the city of Madrid.

The creation of the new land structure was made possible by the knowledge gained from the experience gained in the field of water; This resulted in a two-piece HDPE ballast system with a combined weight of only 3kg. These two pieces are the lid and a base that can be filled with different materials.

In the words of Christian Martin, CEO of Landatu Solar: “The base can be filled with water, gravel or sand.”

One of the advantages is the high resistance of the elements

The system in question has a total capacity of 56 liters at the base, and can have a maximum weight of 100 kg when filled with gravel or sand.

Thanks to this, the Spanish company ensures that the photovoltaic panel assembly system, called Landblock, can withstand wind speeds of up to 162km/h.

Its dimensions are 465 mm x 1235 mm x 480 mm. The sales package includes everything necessary for its assembly and installation: fittings, metal fixing parts and stainless steel screws.

Solar PV modules are mounted directly to the chassis using these components, avoiding the need to drill the roof or mounting surface. The mounting area can be at a maximum angle of 15 degrees.

The innovative Landblock system has many advantages

According to Landatu Solar, Earth blocks weigh 10 times less than similar solutions made of concretegreatly facilitating their transportation and installation, while contributing to the safety of the workers who carry out the necessary intervention for their operation.

But the benefits do not end there: the installation can be done anywhere, and after completion it is enough to fill the plinths with the chosen material. Nothing simpler.

The floor blocks can be stacked on top of each other, to facilitate transportation, and in just one square meter, more than 40 units can be accommodated.

The warranty for this product is 10 years, and at the moment the sale is only made in Spain, with Landato Solar Currently in search of distributors who will take this system to more countries.
