The Portuguese Football Association has already announced some important dates in Portuguese football for next season, through the competition calendar.

The 2021/22 season starts on August 1 with the Candido de Oliveira Cup. Sporting the national champions this season will meet the Portuguese Cup winner, who will be SC Braga or Benfica.

The first round of the Portuguese Cup takes place on August 19, with teams from the first league entering on October 17th. The final match is scheduled to be held in Jammur on May 22, 2022.

Liga 3, a new competition that will be the third division of Portuguese football, will kick off on August 15th, with the second phase beginning on March 20, 2022.
