Svalbard: – Polar bears near Longyearbyen

New polar bear tracks have been observed in Advendalen, the governor of Svalbard reports.

– About 250 meters into the valley from the Longyearbyen kennel, they wrote.

The kennel is located just on the outskirts of town.

The city’s mayor is now trying to locate the polar bear, and is urging the public to stay away from the area.

At 10 p.m., the governor ordered people to go out on foot to try to find the relics again. According to the local newspaper, they have not seen the polar bear yet.
