Swiss real estate firm Solid Sentinel, of the Capvest Group, has bet on Barreiro to build a housing project comprising 518 apartments.

NOOBA – A Fresh New Living features residences from T1 to T5 with values starting at €189,000 and future residents will have access to a communal swimming pool, athletics track, parks and recreation areas. The most expensive apartment, 1.29 million euros, is the T5 with a balcony of 280 square meters and a private pool.

Construction will start in May, the first apartments will be available in 2024 and the total investment will range between 110 and 130 million euros. For the first phase of the project, the investment will be around 35 million euros, Sentinel says to Negócios.

Solid Sentinel’s bet comes at a time when housing prices in Lisbon continue to rise, seeing Barreiro as “a premium place to live, less than 20 minutes from Praça do Comércio,” the real estate company says.

For Sentinel CEO Alain Gross, NOOBA is “a project that aims to respond to the latest social and market trends, such as the system of remote work or greater proximity to nature.”

The project – designed mainly for young people – was designed by architect Miguel Saraiva and has a total area of 98,360 square meters.
