A man was killed and another seriously injured after a pickup truck drove more than two people who were going to take part in a pride parade in Florida.
– This is a terrorist attack on the LGBT community. He came here to destroy people. This was clearly not an accident, said Mayor Dean Trantalis in the nearby town of Fort Lauderdale South Florida Sun Sentinel.
LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Persons.
The collision occurred on Saturday evening local time. A driver of a white pickup truck gave full throttle to people who were to take part in the Pride Parade in Wilton Manors, Broward County, Florida.
One man died after being injured, while another was seriously injured. A third man is expected to survive, according to Trantalis.

He was taken into custody, but he explained that it was an accident. The police have not yet issued a charge.
The mayor of Fort Lauderdale says he believes the driver tried to crash into the congressman’s car. The witnesses are said to have explained the same to a Local 10s reporter on the spot.
