The Brazilian Aircraft Corporation announces its electric flying taxi factory

Flying cars seem to be the desire of more and more companies, and today, we tell you about another one: Brazilian company Embraer will build a factory and put taxis into the air within two years.


Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, Embraer, announced that it will build a new factory in the city of Taupate, about 140 kilometers from São Paulo, with the aim of producing electric taxis. The idea is that it will go on the air in 2026.

The 100% electric air taxi, to be built by Embraer subsidiary Eve, will resemble a small helicopter, with Enough space for up to six guests. The company says it already has orders for nearly 3,000 flying cars.

At the moment, projections indicate that the cost of the trip is between 50 and 100 dollars per person.

Although it plans to launch it in 2026, the company hopes to have a prototype ready this year. In the USA, the regulators have released a timeline for the air taxis that will be flying in the country by 2025.
