The Chinese electric car will arrive in Portugal for 35,000 euros + VAT

The electric vehicle market continues to grow significantly. In Portugal, sales of electric cars reached record levels, with October having the highest number of electric + hybrid car sales.

The Aiways U5 will be the first 100% electric Chinese SUV to enter the Portuguese market. It will cost 35,000 euros plus VAT.

The first Chinese electric cars will start arriving in Portugal in March next year.  After introducing the Maxus on the national market in 2021, the Bergé Auto group returned to "fishing" in the Middle Kingdom and brought to Portugal Aiways, an all-electric car brand "Made in China", revealed Jornal de Negócios.
Very similar to the Volkswagen Tiguan, the Aiways U5 comes with an electric motor powered by a 63 kWh battery.  According to the information in Brand website, Aiways U5 has an autonomy of more than 400 km depending on the course WLTP. 
Charging the battery from 20% to 80% takes only 35 minutes.  From 0 to 100 km / h this car takes 7.8 seconds.

In terms of interiors, the car is a bit simple, but it is impressively equipped in terms of technology.

As mentioned, the Aiways U5 will hit the Portuguese market next year with a base price of €35 thousand plus VAT.  According to the information, the Chinese brand aims to sell 300 cars in the first year, after it sold 550 units in the European market last year, and this year it delivered nearly 400 U5 SUVs.
