The film festival surprised everyone in May 2023 when it added a day to the normally three-day event. The surprises are not over. This year there is a double film festival and back in October. From October 22 to 25, it is possible to watch films on the big screen at a not-so-great price: 3.5 euros.

There are over 50 films on offer, and there is a variety for all genres and ages, with national and international cinema. A stroke of luck For those who love dramas and are fans of Woody Allen, Paw Patrol: The Superhero Movie For children, And exorcist For anyone who is a horror fan, the list does not end here.

The film festival was launched in 2015 and is an initiative of the Portuguese Association of Cinema Companies (APEC), which wants to bring Portuguese back to cinemas and “democratize access to the seventh art”, as we read in the article location.

In 2022, the film festival brought about 135,000 spectators to large theaters. The outlook this year is positive, as the increase in cinema revenues, as well as the number of viewers, maintain an upward trend compared to 2022.

The promotion covers 2D films only (excluding VIP seats, 3D sessions, IMAX and special events) and will be available in all cinemas in Portugal.
