The owner of the house, which is worth 18 million euros, says he needs $230,000 to repair all the damage.

Arda Turan signed for Barcelona in the 2015/16 season and rented a luxury mansion, where he lived for three years, but left it in disrepair. The owner, who filed a lawsuit that is still ongoing in the Spanish courts, told the newspaper “El Periodico” that the former Turkish player and his friends vandalized the house, which is worth 18 million euros, leaving behind a lot of damage and even unpaid rent and bills.

“When he signed the contract, he started singing madly: 'Viva Barcelona, viva Barcelona!'”, said the owner of the house, who counted 230,000 euros in housing expenses, after the footballer's departure.

The mansion has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a living room of more than 100 square meters, a soundproof cinema room, and a swimming pool, among other luxuries. Among the damage caused by Turan, according to experts, are torn pieces of walls, damaged furniture and appliances, as well as a lack of maintenance in some of the more private areas, such as the cinema.

The owner says the player and his friends threw the remote control into the pool after each goal. “An order worth a thousand euros! I think they threw away about 10 or 15 euros. The house was full of cigarette burns, including the furniture.”

The man said he had to spend a lot of money to repair the damage. There were 16,500 euros for doors, 23,000 euros for the garden, 64,300 euros for the kitchen, and 24,500 for electronic systems, among other expenses. “Repairing and replacing anything in such a private home is neither easy nor cheap.”
