Apparently, the numerous rumors pointing to a complete redesign of what is Samsung's largest device were actually an exaggeration. Samsung will continue to invest in hardware improvements, maintaining the same meticulous design philosophy it introduced with the Galaxy S22 in the now distant 2022.

Having said all this, in addition to more RAM, faster storage chips and a 3nm SoC, Samsung will also invest in a major revamp of the sensors that give life to the rear camera module.

So, despite the fact that Samsung is now more focused on launching its new foldable devices in the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked in July, the truth is that enthusiasts only have their eyes on the Galaxy S25, which of course already belongs to the new generation of Android-powered smartphones. Android, and as such, features the latest and most powerful hardware the industry has to offer.

Having said all this, plus more memory, more storage, and a SoC that's more ready to handle AI algorithms, everything indicates that Samsung will also be investing big and bad in a field that it feels is failing… Take the photo From the rear sensors. Despite many bets, the best Samsung smartphones are never considered the “best” smartphones for photography, and this is starting to irritate the South Korean giant a little.

Well, according to new information, Samsung will be making at least two major changes to its camera module. With two new 50MP sensors to build your own.

More specifically, the ultra-wide sensor will jump from 12MP to 50MP (1/2.76 JN1). This is while the 3x telephoto sensor also goes from 10MP to 50MP, thanks to another 1/3-inch ISOCELL sensor.

We still don't know what other changes there might be. But one thing is for sure, in addition to hardware, Samsung is also investing heavily in software! To greatly improve image processing. This makes perfect sense, since hardware nowadays only takes manufacturers so far… and everything else relies on smart, efficient software that delivers good results. Now look at the Pixel 8 Pro, a smartphone full of compromises, but still a real joy when it comes to taking photos.

However, there is still some time before the launch of the new Galaxy S25. But, apparently, all models will be based on Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processors. Something that would lead to a significant increase in the price of Samsung's Galaxy S range. We will find out more details after the manufacturer launches the new foldable phones.
