The government raises the discount on the automatic voucher to 20 euros

In October 2021, the government approved the automated voucher, which guaranteed a discount of 10 cents per liter on fuel, up to a maximum of 50 liters, that is, five euros per month. The program worked in a similar way to IVAucher, the amount is transferred directly to the account of the taxpayer, who will have to pay with a bank card.

In view of the significant increase in fuel, the government will give 20 euros in the automated voucher program.

The Minister of Finance, Joao Liao, confirmed in a recent letter that the voucher includes nearly 1.6 million beneficiaries, and they have so far paid 26 million euros.  The announcement by the Ministry of Finance came after the Minister of State for Energy Affairs announced that there will be measures to mitigate the rise in fuel prices, which Next week 14 and eight cents a liter for diesel and gasoline.
According to the reference prices of the National Energy Market Authority (Ense), the average price of a simple diesel is currently 1.754 euros per liter and, as of Monday, should reach approximately 1.90 euros per liter at gas stations.
