The General Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation held a meeting with the Mayor of Itrabena, Doña Graca, to formalize the inter-municipal collaboration with the aim of programming the first Inter-Municipal Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation, to be held in October. in different cities in the region. This will be the first time the event will feature this format, adding knowledge beyond municipal boundaries.
At the meeting, the municipality of Itrapena undertook to promote a seminar and mobilize schools and teachers to participate in the joint municipal conference, which will cooperate with proposing ideas and promoting science and technology in the region.
José Galizia Tondesi, Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of the municipality, believes that this is an important step towards improving scientific relations between municipalities. The idea of this inter-municipal conference is to promote knowledge in São Carlos about science and technology and to develop this knowledge for municipalities, expanding the city’s capacity to interact with the region. Itirapina municipality will provide a venue for an event on a theme suitable for the municipality, but there will also be a discussion about the role of tourism and other future activities, Tondesi stresses.
Also participating in the meeting were the Deputy Secretary for Science, Technology and Innovation, Vanessa Soriano, the Director of the Corporate Governance Department, Felipe Fausto, and the Local Secretary for Legal Affairs of Itrapina, Lucas Ferreira Leão.
