In the first post after the injury, the former Vitoria player, Santa Clara and Nacional, who also played for Varzim, FC Porto and Padruense, admitted that he still felt pain, after he underwent surgery for a “multi-fragment fracture in both legs.”

«As most of you know, I suffered, on the 15th, an injury of the greatest complexity. Moment like so many others, I do what I love the most, condition what would turn out to be a happy time so far in Poland,” he began writing on Instagram.

“The exposed fracture of the tibia and fibula brought me to this bed from which I am still writing. It’s been 14 days of lying in that bed, split between medication, severe pain, and four grueling operations to restore my former sensitivity and mobility. It was the worst days I can remember and the pain has not subsided until today, ”he continued.

The Portugal Under-21 international midfielder admits, in an outburst, that he is going through a period of uncertainty, but has not failed to thank the letters he has received over the past few weeks.

“Although in the last two weeks I have not responded to everything that has been sent to me, I do thank everyone for the letters, telephone calls, and expressions of affection which somehow alleviate this desperation of not being in my own country, nor of hearing our language. They make me feel closer.”

“Right now, I don’t know if I will come back stronger, but I will definitely come back differently and appreciate the things (unfortunately) that just such an experience teaches us. He concluded by saying, “I do not wish to lack strength and courage.”
