The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) will hold a competition later this year with 676 vacancies to work in 17 research units. In addition, there are 138 vacancies to work within the portfolio as science and technology analysts, for a total of 814 positions.
All vacancies are for candidates with higher education. The information is contained in two decrees published in the Official Gazette this Thursday (13). Public notices must be posted by September 10.

“We have opened the public tender, because there has been no public tender in the Ministry of Science and Technology for 10 years. It was the first ministry to open 814 vacancies for public tender, due to a lack of researchers in research units. This means that there is a lot of work during this last period,” said Minister Luciana Santos.

Among the vacancies for research units, 253 are for researchers, 265 are for technology and 158 are for analysts in science and technology. Among the public bodies that will receive new servers are Inpe (National Institute for Space Research) and ON (National Observatory).

According to the Federal Government Transparency Portal, the base salary for a researcher ranges between R$5,425.29 and R$7,937.44. Technologists and analysts in science and technology can earn between 4,781.17 BRL and 8,539.42 BRL. The salary of each servant varies according to the level of the hierarchy.
