Unfortunately, we are still in times of pandemic by COVID-19! In Portugal, there are forecasts that by September the epidemic may be under control, but until then everything should go well.

Johnson & Johnson revealed today that the second dose of the vaccine is 94% effective.

Johnson & Johnson is an American company, founded in 1886, that specializes in the production of pharmaceuticals, medical utensils, and personal hygiene products.
The company has also been very active in the fight against the epidemic, and its vaccine is a single administration.  However, due to the loss of efficacy, Johnson & Johnson today revealed that the second dose of the vaccine is 94% effective.

New data shows that protection from COVID-19 increases when a booster shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is given.  The vaccine's safety profile has remained consistent and has been generally well tolerated when given as a booster.
Our once-injected vaccine generates powerful immune responses and a long-term immune memory.  And when the booster vaccine is given, the power of protection increases even more.


J&J also said that the second dose guarantees volunteers 100% protection against COVID-19 (the most severe form of the disease) for at least two weeks after vaccination.
COVID-19 has caused at least 4,696,559 deaths worldwide, among the more than 229 million cases of coronavirus that have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic.
