Under the chairmanship of Representative Jair Mioto (União), the Committee on Economics, Science, Technology, Mines and Energy of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Santa Catarina (ALESC) will hold a meeting on Wednesday (17). Among those present are the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Marcelo Veit, and the head of the Santa Catarina State Foundation for the Support of Research and Innovation (FABISC), Fabio Wagner Pinto.
On this occasion, there will be a presentation of strategies to promote startups in the country and train new talents for the new economy. The status of innovation centers will also be discussed. Deputy Mioto explains that “Secretary Fate will unveil the powers and plans of the new General Secretariat of Science for the year 2023. On the other hand, Fabisque will deal with setting the general policies of the institution in the field of science and technology.” , recalling that, last week, he had made an institutional visit to personally invite the Secretary and the President to the meeting.

The meeting of the Economics Committee will begin at 1 pm and will take place in the Committees’ Conference Room, in Alesque, in Florianópolis.
