In early January, Frenchman Julian Navas traveled from his homeland to the United States. He wanted to see the launch of the US lunar probe, the first US spacecraft to go to the moon in more than 50 years, reports said. CNN.
He watched the launch at Cape Canaveral, Florida, before traveling to conduct some other experiments on American soil.
He decided to see New Orleans, but on the way he suddenly changed his course. The French learned of a place called Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.

Known as the American Open Space, it is also the only diamond site in the world that is open to the public. The park is open to the public and, for a paid ticket, visitors can search for diamonds and other gemstones themselves Wikipedia.

Navas was thrilled when he heard about the park, as he had searched for gold several times in his life.
On January 11, Navas arrived at the site, bought his ticket, and rented a tool kit used to find diamonds, gold and gemstones in the soil.
Found after 26 years: – Completely insane
-I arrived at the garden around nine in the morning and started digging. “I basically looked at the top of the soil for anything special,” Navas said in a press release. Arkansas State Park.
Navas was lucky with the conditions as it had rained there a few days before his arrival, so it was wet and muddy.
After a while, he found a protruding rock and took it for examination at the park's diamond discovery center. Then he was surprised.
Navas learned that he had found a brown diamond weighing 7.46 carats.

– All I'm thinking about now is telling my fiancé what I found, Navas says.

The stone is dark brown and round like marble, according to the release, and is about the size of a stick of gum.
Navas named the diamond the Carine Diamond after his fiancée. He plans to split the stone into two diamonds. One for his bride and the other for his daughter.
The 7.46-carat diamond is the eighth largest diamond found in the Crater of Diamonds since 1972, according to the press release.
– A magical place
– When rain falls on the ground, it washes away dirt and exposes heavy stones, minerals and diamonds near the surface, explains Waymon Cox, an assistant park ranger.
On average, visitors find one or two diamonds in the park every day.
– The garden is a magical place, where my dream of finding diamonds came true. “It was a really great adventure,” Navas says.
He hopes to return to the park with his daughter when she grows up.
