British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have started the war in Ukraine if he were a woman.
“If Putin had been a woman, obviously he’s not, but if he was, I don’t think he would have fought a crazy male war with conquest and violence the way he did,” Johnson told German TV. ZDF Tuesday night.
The British prime minister also said Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was an excellent example of “toxic masculinity”, and called for better education for girls and “more women in positions of power”.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to the prime minister’s comments with the remark that well-known psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud would certainly have liked to examine someone like Johnson in his life.
Putin commented on the matter during his visit to Turkmenistan later Wednesday.
– I want to refer to the events in recent history when (former British Prime Minister) Margaret Thatcher decided to launch an attack against Argentina for the control of the Falkland Islands in 1982. There was a woman who decided to start the war, and Putin said that the same years ended with the victory of Britain.
In Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wondered if Johnson was wandering with “sweaty delusions.”
