The war in Ukraine: – Andrej (17) and his friends are killed

Andrei Rykhil (17), Vladislav Kuznetsov (20), Anton Babich (21), Danilo Kornilov (21), Viktor Tolstov (23) and an unidentified person were killed in the Russian airstrike against Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Province, central Ukraine, early Tuesday morning.

The teenager and the two young men worked together at a logistics company in a suburb outside the center of Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

After floods in southern Ukraine, the company worked around the clock in shifts to top up bottled water and send it to affected areas, the local paper writes.

On Tuesday night, all the employees who were at work were killed.

Three of the dead, Anton Babitsig (21), Andrij Reichel (17) and Vladislav Kuznetsov (20), were born and raised in the relevant suburb where the company is located.

Rykhel graduated from high school earlier this year.

Local authorities have scheduled a two-day mourning period, which began on Wednesday, the local newspaper writes.

The three must have been best friends since childhood.

23-year-old Tolstov and 21-year-old Kornilov were not from the same suburb. However, all six are said to have gotten along well with each other, and are described as good fellows.

Killed a young couple

And 12 people were killed in the missile attack on Tuesday. A number of buildings were hit, including the aforementioned company building and a five-storey building.

In an apartment building, two people were killed: young married men David and Ksenija Edelman, both 22 years old.
