This electric boat uses solar energy and sea water for unlimited autonomy

Electric mobility goes beyond roads, so we also know attempts to find solutions aimed at the sky and the sea. Today we show you an electric catamaran that has almost unlimited autonomy.

by name ONE AQUONThis electric boat was designed by Christian Grande and built by Latitude Yachts. The model is 20.72 meters long and has an area of 250 square meters on board, with a carrying capacity of up to 12 passengers.

With an elegant design and all the usual comforts of a boat of this type, the AQUON One appears as the first step towards an innovative concept: an electric boat powered 100% by renewable energy and capable of producing its own energy, making its autonomy almost infinite.

The company describes it as a disruptive catamaran that will offer clean sailing, "no downtime for fuel, no greenhouse gases, just pure fun." In addition, he presents it as a proposal that combines Swiss quality architecture with specialization in Spanish architecture and Italian design.

The differentiating element is the electrical system powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, which powers the entire range. The boat offers a 64 square meter photovoltaic installation, which converts desalinated water into hydrogen, in order to power two electric motors of 100 kW each. This will propel the boat to a cruising speed of 15 km/h and a top speed of 28 km/h.

Whoever buys this electric catamaran, which sells for around seven million euros, can later add a wind turbine to help produce electricity when the boat is stationary.
