Scott McDomney is a defensive midfielder. In this position, he mostly plays for Manchester United. However, on Thursday, against Poland at Hampton Park in Glasgow, he is scheduled to play in the defense center. The Scottish “The Times” and “Daily Star” write about this, focusing on his rivalry with McDomini and Robert Lewandowski in the context of the rivalry with Poland.

This is how Poland’s mix for Scotland should look like. Michniewicz will not leave the best

“Lewandowski is our harassment”

“In the Premier League, he faced some big names, but not like Lewandowski yet. It will be the biggest challenge of his international career,” The Times writes, recalling a game at Hampton Park in the fall of 2015. McDougall was not on the team in Scotland at the time, but Lewandowski was already on the Polish team, scoring two goals in Glasgow, in the second extra time, pushing the ball into Scotland’s net to draw 2-0 in the final round of the qualifying round for Euro 2- Euro 2016.

“This is our nuisance” – Scots now write about Lewandowski. They suggest he hasn’t changed much in almost seven years, because when Lewandowski shoots, he still shoots. – He is very respectable because he has already done an amazing job and has not stopped yet. It’s absolutely wonderful to be at the top for so long – McDougain praises the captain of the Polish national team.

“Thoughts will be directed towards Ukraine”

McDomini’s rivalry with Lewandowski is the only Scots-focused series. In addition, in the context of Thursday’s meeting, they write a lot about what happens outside the pitch, i.e. on the stand. “It will be Sports Otherwise, the two nations will meet, but their thoughts will be directed towards Ukraine “- writes the” Times “, which for the second day in a row reminds us not only to maintain the quality of the competition pitch, but to raise them beyond the pitch, because 10 pounds from each ticket will be donated to help Ukraine.

The Daily Record and other newspapers remind us that Ukraine will have to compete with Scotland in the World Cup play-offs on Thursday. The game has been temporarily postponed to June, but Scots coach Steve Clark is skeptical that it will happen. Clarke, quoted by the Daily Star, said: “It seems unthinkable that we will play at the end of this season.

Alarm in law! Lewandowski went down in pain shortly before the end of training

– Many have already said that the ball is inappropriate today when looking at the situation in Ukraine. I think so too, this war is terrible. But I know that all the fans and players at Hampton Park on Thursday together can have a positive impact on even the most hopeless situations like the one we are currently dealing with the strength of football – says the Scottish coach. He also says that if the Ukrainians do not want to play a better play-off in June, they are ready to wait until the autumn.
