In a wave of ups and downs, the price of fuel will rise this week. In addition, for the first time, the price of diesel has become more expensive than the price of gasoline. It should be noted that diesel is the most used fuel in Portugal.

If you're going to have to fill up your car this week, the news isn't the best.  For the first time, diesel will outperform gasoline and prices will rise significantly.  Diesel will rise by 16.4 cents (with ISP discount) and gasoline by 6 cents.
Accordingly, based on the government's formula and given the average prices, the price of diesel should rise to 2.011 euros per liter, while gasoline will remain at 1.987 euros per liter.

In view of the new rise in prices recorded after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the government decided to increase the value of the subsidy granted with the first offer in March from 10 to 40 cents (or from five to 20 euros).
