Twitter recently confirmed a new acquisition of the company, which aims to expand the offerings of the brand’s portfolio. Twitter confirmed, in a statement, the acquisition of Quill, which created a business communications app of the same name.
Quill launched in February of this year and was seen as a professional alternative to services like Slack, Microsoft Teams or Skype. The focus in this application will be on organizing user communications, and the company’s idea was that existing solutions are unstructured and complex for use by many, focusing on tasks away from “necessity”.
In the message left on Company’s official websiteQuill’s team says it will continue to stick with the idea of regulating communications, but this time within Twitter. This also indicates that the app will stop working after purchase, and users have until December 11th to export their messages from the service – if they choose.

Anyone who purchases paid plans within Quill will receive a full refund within the next few months. It should be noted that details of the amounts involved in this Twitter acquisition remain unknown, as well as its platform plans.
