Two Brazilian airports ranked among the best in the world

Brazil has achieved the feat of having two airports in the world's top 10 for 2024. According to the AirHelp Score international ranking, Brasilia International Airport – Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek, in the Federal District, reached the fifth position, while Belém Van de Cans International Airport in Pará came in ninth.

Hamad International Airport in Qatar topped the list, followed by Cape Town International Airport in South Africa in second place, and Chubu Centrair International Airport in Japan in third place.

How was the ranking created?

The AirHelp Score survey evaluated 239 airports, based on the opinions of 17,500 users from 64 countries. The data takes into account the period from May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024, with three main categories: on-time performance, quality of service, and quality of shops and restaurants.

Thus, Brasilia International Airport emerged with a final score of 8.32. With 8.6 in punctuality, 8.0 in quality of service, and 7.9 in quality of shops and restaurants.

Belém International Airport received a final score of 8.26, including 8.3 for punctuality, 8.1 for quality of service, and 8.3 for quality of shops and restaurants.

Best Airports in Brazil

In addition to Brasilia and Belém, other Brazilian airports also made the top 20. Recife/Guararapes International Airport ranked 14th, while Belo Horizonte/Tancredo Neves International Airport ranked 19th.

Other Brazilian airports mentioned include Salgado Filho/Porto Alegre (26), Santos Dumont/Rio de Janeiro (40), Afonso Pena/Curitiba (46), Congonhas/São Paulo (57), Guarulhos/São Paulo (59), Viracopos/Campinas (62), Hercílio Luz/Florianópolis (65), Galeão/Rio de Janeiro (67).
