Paris Club made a new offer, and Chelsea does not enter wars

Paris expectation. At the first moment, shortly after Lyon’s season ended, PSG came up with a proposal for Ugarte, beating the €60m clause with Sporting, with Jorge Mendes presenting the Parisian offer to the SAD offices of the Greens and Whites. A proactive move by the French champion.

Millionaire salaries on the horizon. At first, in order to try to impress Ugarte, PSG made an impressive salary offer, with €5m a year on the table for the Uruguay international. But Chelsea also promised to join the race for the midfielder, which was confirmed.

After anticipating Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, who had also been watching Ugarte in recent months, did not lag behind and made an offer of conditional value (60 million euros) for the player, including another 5 million euros for goals and a loan for Di Fofana – the latter he refused.

With the dream of heading to the Premier League, Ugarte gave preference to the Chelsea project, but after meetings with both clubs, the initial salary offer of the Blues (2 million euros) did not live up to what was offered by Paris Saint-Germain. Paris Saint-Germain endorsements and lapse of the agreement. With Record on the move, Chelsea already on Saturday reached an agreement with Sporting and Ugarte to guarantee the signing of the midfielder as previously stipulated. However, there was a setback in the last few hours: Paris Saint-Germain put a new salary on the table (10 million euros) due to its interest in the midfielder, which led to Chelsea withdrawing from the race.
