United States of America. Women accidentally get billions (and can’t get them back)

Published on

yoA banking error made Julia Yunkowski, a native of the US state of Florida, number 615 in the list of the richest person in the country. The woman, who thought she had only $20 in her account, was surprised to find a billion dollars there. Eager to return the money that does not belong to her, Julia is unable to contact the bank.

The American realized what was happening last Saturday when she went to an ATM to take a statement of bank account balances. Then the unimaginable happened: there he found $999,985,855.94.

The woman was “scared” about what had happened and began to try everything in her power to contact Chase Bank, where she has the account. Just no one answered his calls.

“I was terrified,” she told WFLA. “I know most people think I won the lottery but I was terrified.” “This is not my money,” he repeated.

Over the weekend, the bank’s answering machine only “talked” to her, causing the American to keep the (huge) amount in the account. It is not yet known what led to the error.
