Then the shadows
The 14-year-old hid in the garden of a man in his late fifties.
In questioning, the man said that he retrieved his gun when he saw the shadows outside the house, and that he shot the people who fled the scene.
He says he was not aware that one of the shots had hit the girl in the back of the head.
The girl was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was arrested shortly thereafter and charged with one count of aggravated assault, four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, as well as unlawful discharge of a firearm.

The 58-year-old is now in custody at the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Centre.
Bail was set at US$300,000, which is NOK 3.1 million.
It is not known how he reacts to the question of guilt, and the man’s attorney has not commented on the case to the Associated Press.
