The brother-in-law of an 11- and 12-year-old from Galea County, Ohio, was hanging out with an 18-year-old family member when things recently went wrong.
According to the local TV station WSAZthe brothers had been visiting relatives in West Virginia for two days, and were scheduled to return home the same day as the accident.
Before the trip home, the 11-year-old wanted one last ride with his UTV. A UTV is a vehicle that is larger and more powerful than an ATV.
In the UTV sat the two brothers, the 18-year-old driver, and a dog.
Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Stonecoal Road, the 11- and 12-year-old was riding in a UTV, driven by his 18-year-old cousin’s friend. There was a family dog on the ride and he jumped on the ground and stomped on the pedal. gasoline,” writes WSAZ.
The sudden speed sent the UTV suddenly off the road.
Who would have thought a pet would jump down and do something like that, asks Wayne Williamson at Kermit Fire and Rescue.

Going around the business for 20 years
When emergency services arrived at the scene, the 11-year-old was declared dead.
The older brother and the 18-year-old were taken to the hospital without life-threatening injuries. The dog sustained minor injuries in the collision.
– It’s heartbreaking. Williamson says relatives and those involved should be in their prayers.
