According to Putin, the Ukrainian forces have suffered “significant losses” in recent days, but he adds that they still have “offensive potential”.

Putin also says that the Russian military leadership is carefully assessing the enemy’s attack, but he stresses that the Russian military industry is capable of carrying out its mission of increasing the production of modern weapons.

According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Ukrainian forces did not succeed in breaking through the Russian defense lines in the Zaporizhia region.

On Tuesday, Shoigu announced that a Ukrainian counterattack was underway. According to him, the Ukrainians tried to attack different areas of the front.

He said that in the past 24 hours, Ukraine had lost 945 soldiers, 33 tanks, 28 armored personnel carriers and 38 armored personnel carriers.
