Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently attending the NATO summit in Washington.
From the night of Wednesday, Norwegian time, he made a statement about the upcoming presidential election in the United States, in relation to the war in Ukraine.
He received the highest presidential medal.

He said, among other things, that he did not know what would happen if Donald Trump won the election.
“I don’t know him very well. I don’t know. I had meetings with him and we had good meetings when he was president, but we didn’t go to war,” Zelensky said at an event, according to Reuters.
Trump has repeatedly said that the war would never have happened if he were president when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The former president also said he could end the war in 24 hours. However, he has never said how he intends to do so.
I think Putin is waiting for the elections.
Zelensky also said that both Biden and Trump support democracy.
Putin will hate them both, he said, according to Reuters.
The Ukrainian president also said that it seemed like the whole world was waiting for Election Day in November and that he wanted more action.
– Everyone is waiting for November. Americans are waiting for November, in Europe, in the Middle East, in the Pacific region, the whole world is looking forward to November, and, frankly, Putin is also waiting for November, Zelensky said, according to NTB.
He believes that immediate action is needed, and that you cannot wait.
It is time to come out of the shadows, make strong decisions, act and not wait for November or any other month, Zelensky said.
