Volvo Cars Portugal has announced that Susanne Haglund, Managing Director of the company since January 2022, will take on a new role as Director of Global Offers, bringing Edson Ishikawa back to the position of Managing Director of Volvo Cars Portugal.
Edson Ishikawa led the Portuguese market for seven years, from 2014 to 2021. In addition to this new role, he will continue his current responsibilities as Director of International Markets (Europe) at Volvo Cars.
“It is a great honor to return to Volvo Cars in Portugal, and this has undoubtedly been a very special chapter in my career at Volvo Cars. I remember saying, when I left in 2021, that large organizations are dynamic and constantly changing – that is why I became a Volvo Car Portugal today is much better than yesterday and tomorrow will be even better.
In turn, Susan Haglund said that she is “very proud and grateful to have been leading our business in Portugal for the past two and a half years. As I embark on a new role, I bring with me strong memories of growth, resilience and the wonderful people who make every moment a success.”
Edson and Susanne will start their new roles from 1 May 2024. The new Global Supply Director will report directly to Björn Annwall, Deputy CEO and Commercial Director of Volvo Cars.
