Three months into the war in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky replaced the commander of the Ukrainian Regional Defense Forces. It reports Sky News, according to Denmark BT.
The Ukrainian president is said to have appointed Major General Ihor Tantsira to take over from Yuri Halushkin as commander of the Regional Defense Forces. He tells the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on Monday.
However, they do not mention the reason for replacing the top manager. The ministry describes Tantsyora as an experienced officer, who was previously the chief of staff of the Ukrainian Land Forces.
Zelensky said anyone could enlist in the country’s territorial defense forces as reservists and fight against Russian forces.
