Turn on two-factor authentication

Configure a Google account for two-factor authentication

Now we can configure the authenticator. In this way, instead of logging in with the SMS code we received, we start using the app.

First, on the same Google page where you have activated two-factor authentication, there is another option that says Application Authenticator. Click Configure.

However, a window appears asking for your mobile phone. Whether it is Android or iPhone. Just choose and click next.

Then, in either case, you will have to turn on authentication. Whether on Android or iPhone. Then choose Scan QR Code.

However, a code will appear in the authenticator that you have to enter in Google account configuration. Then click Validate. And that’s it, the setup is complete. This way, you protect not only access to Gmail, but also Google Photos, Google Docs, and other apps in the ecosystem.
