From Cristiano Ronaldo to Eric Ten Hag, these were some of the topics covered by Diogo Dalot, the Manchester United team. The Portuguese international also praised the captain of the national team.
“The way he works, his professionalism, his mentality. I’m talking not only about myself, but about one of the most positive things of the season: working with someone like him who has the culture of work, professionalism, mentality, ability to be present… Interview with Sky Sports.
“I no longer praise the way Cristiano works. He is a wonderful person. The numbers and the statistics are there. “Obviously we are very happy to have him with us.”
The 23-year-old right-back also described the type of Cristiano Ronaldo. “He is a friendly person. When he feels he can trust you, he gives 100 percent of himself. Everyone loves to be around. It is always a great asset to have a player and someone like him in the dressing room,” he said.
Eric Ten Hag has been announced as the new coach of Manchester United as of 2022/23. Dalot highlighted the Dutch coach’s work at Ajax and admitted that it was good for the players to know who would replace Rangnick.
“I don’t think it takes much to see that he is a great coach. What he did at Ajax was excellent. He loves to play the game of football. I think all United fans are just as excited to have a coach like Tin Hag as the players are. In our minds it is clear who will be the coach of the season. Next that’s good,” he admitted.
Returning to Old Trafford on loan from AC Milan, Diogo Dalot has managed to win his place in the starting line-up from Wan-Bissaka in recent months and has already made 27 appearances.
“It’s hard to say that the season is going well when the results are not as expected. Individually I played more. Playing regularly has been one of my biggest desires since I arrived, but it has always been difficult to do so. It’s good to have more minutes than in previous seasons. I’m happy, but obviously I wanted to combine that with good results and titles. I like to see from time to time it was a special season because I started playing regularly, I went to the national team and we were able to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. I want to be in the World Cup, but There are still three games to play for the club and the others for the national team. So, it doesn’t make sense to look forward while there are still goals to be achieved at the end of the season.”
