David Neeleman’s right-hand man, Maximilian Otto Urbahn was the man that the American TAP shareholder trusted. Together, in 2008 they founded Azul, the Brazilian company in which Neilman, once the majority shareholder, now has a marginal stake of 4%.
DGN Corporation (Neeleman’s company) director, Maximilian Otto Urbahn, appears to be signing the Atlantic Gateway purchase proposal, as of May 2015 Neeleman and Humberto Pedrosa made a non-binding offer to buy TAP. A document showing the works of the proposed exchange of an Airbus A350 order by Neo – but without the number of aircraft (53) it would end up buying from the US company TAP. Maximilian Otto Urban has been a member of the Portuguese company’s governing bodies since the end of 2015, holding relevant functions in the field of fleet management. By the way, Nellmann’s negotiations with Airbus also went through Auto Urban, according to sources familiar with the process.
