With the help of these five foods, you can sleep like a baby.

WAs everyone knows, food has a huge impact on sleep quality. For example, some foods high in sugar or drinks containing caffeine do not help. However, there are other things that are more beneficial and help you sleep throughout the night, according to what nutrition experts reported from iNews. Check the list!

1- Cherry

Nutritionist Gina Hope explains that “eating cherries, or rather cherry juice,” helps improve sleep quality, thanks to its properties such as the presence of melatonin, “one of the hormones responsible for regulating sleep.”

2- Poultry meat

According to Gabriella Peacock, another nutritionist, these meats contain tryptophan, something found in proteins that stimulates serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps calm the brain. In addition to poultry meat, dairy products, peanuts, pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds are recommended.

3- Almonds

Yes, “these nuts contain magnesium, a mineral known to improve sleep quality and help muscles relax,” explains nutritionist Sophie Troutman.

4- Kiwi

According to Evelina Saponititi, a doctor and nutritionist, this fruit helps you sleep better thanks to its “high concentration of antioxidants and serotonin.”

5- Rice

“Rice provides us with melatonin. As a complex carbohydrate, rice also stimulates the release of insulin, which in turn pushes the amino acid tryptophan into the brain, where it aids sleep,” explains Alison Cullen, a registered dietitian.
