What is HyperOS?

HyperOS is a people-centric operating system whose mission is to bring together all the devices of the Chinese brand in the Xiaomi ecosystem. To do this, it takes full advantage of the equipment's hardware resources to provide smooth and efficient performance.

In fact, the new operating system allows more powerful devices to perform faster computing, as well as enabling less powerful devices to perform distributed and elastic computing.

In practical terms for the user, HyperOS has a much lighter file system that allows for consistent performance, but requires a smaller storage capacity. On the other hand, it also improves over-the-air (OTA) updates.

New features of HyperOS

HyperOS brings new UI, performance, and AI-based features.

Let's start with the last. First, it improves interconnectivity through the brand's HyperConnect and HyperMind technologies, by increasing the functionality of smartphones, smartwatches and home equipment built into the Xiaomi ecosystem.
