Sunday saw several Xiaomi launches in China. The tech giant introduced the Xiaomi 13 Series smartphones, as well as the Redmi Buds 4 Bluetooth headphones and a new smartwatch.

It’s called the Xiaomi Watch S2, and it’s a natural successor to the Xiaomi Watch S1 that the brand launched a year ago. And although this is not yet official, it is believed that it could also arrive on our market as an original model.

But let’s move on to the details. The round appearance is maintained, with two 42- and 46-millimeter variants. The smaller version has a 1.32-inch AMOLED panel, and the larger one has a 1.46-inch.

It has two buttons on the side, which are able to measure your body composition. By placing two fingers there, you can access protein volumes, body mass, or muscle mass, among others.

According to Xiaomi, the Watch S2 also arrives with the ability to measure skin temperature. In addition, you have the projected heart rate measurements, SpO2, sleep or menstrual cycle. At the sports level, you can expect more than 100 modes.

Like the previous generation, it comes with a microphone that allows you to make Bluetooth calls. It comes with built-in GPS, third-party app install, and NFC for payments.

The 46 mm model has a 500 mAh battery that promises up to 12 days of autonomy. The 42mm version has a 305mAh battery and promises up to 7 days of use.

Xiaomi Watch S2 pricing and availability

Prices start at €136 for the 42mm black version and €163 for the gold version. The 46mm black version will cost 150 euros, and 177 euros for the gold version.

It is already available for purchase in China, and there is no release date for the global markets yet.
