YuA young British woman living in London has been blocked on WhatsApp by the man she was going to meet for being two minutes late. But the latter denies that he did so.
The story was shared by herself, Jenny Nguyen Don, on the social network TikTok, where she told how it all happened.
“I had an appointment tonight and the plan was to meet in Leicester Square at 6.15pmHe begins by explaining, adding that “At 5:30 p.m. he sent a message to let him know he was on his way.
However, the odds were against Jenny, who ended up arriving two minutes late but, as she was without a net on the subway, was unable to notify the man she was meeting.
So when she got off the subway and onto the street, ready to meet her date, she was met with tons of messages. “Apparently, the guy texted me twice while on the subway. Not received”, explained.
In one, at 5:47 p.m., the message said, “Okay, okay, I just want to stop by the gym and drop off my bag.” Then, at 6:09 p.m., another message arrived saying, “Are you playing a joke on me, Jenny?”
After viewing the messages, Jenny tried to respond but immediately realized something was wrong. “I noticed his WhatsApp picture was no longer showing up and when I sent a message saying he had already arrived it only showed up with a checkmark.
Jenny tried again to talk to him through the dating app where they met, and after a minute she finally got a reply on WhatsApp with his location – and when she looked again, the boy’s picture reappeared.
When she finally found him, she confronted him about whether he was going to block her and he denied it. Unconvinced, Jenny ends the video saying: “Guys are really sensitive“.
Many netizens were shocked by his story. One wrote: “Doesn’t he know that in London you can hardly get a net on the tube? What a kid”.
Another user indicated that he wouldn’t even send a new message on the other platform after being blocked.
